396. Xenoblade Chronicles, F1 2020, Gears 5

Here to keep you company through whatever situation we’re going through right now is Adam Cook, Adam Carroll, Chris White, and Gary Bailey. Mr Carroll finally has an Xbox so has played through Gears of War 4 and Gears 5, while also getting stuck into Streets of Rage 4. Adam Cook has tried some of the Switch Definitive Edition of Xenoblade Chronicles, while Chris has finally played through the original BioShock. He’s also dabbled in Red Dead Online, this week. Gary has been putting a preview build of F1 2020 through its paces, which is very exciting.

Again, we’re in video form if you prefer that type of thing, and have questions about average skills, what TV shows you’d recommend, retro practices and, of course, the Xbox Series X “gameplay” reveal we had recently. Get watching/listening, it’s your choice how you consume the CONTENT.

395. Predator Hunting Grounds, Snowrunner, John Wick Hex

It's another bumper episode of the podcast week as Adam Cook, Adam Carroll, Chris White, and Gary Bailey have loads of games to chat about. Predator: Hunting Grounds has enraptured Adam Carroll, and so has another game that we won't spoil the surprise of, here. Gary has been playing Daymare 1998, while Adam Cook has been on Switch a lot and Chris has been playing John Wick Hex on PS4.

We've a plethora of listener questions this week and, again, the podcast is in video form on YouTube for your viewing pleasure. Would the gang ever become full time streamers? 394. Gears Tactics, Streets of Rage 4, XCOM: Chimera Wars

This week's episode sees Mick Fraser rejoin us for the first time in ages to talk about Gears Tactics and XCOM: Chimera Squad. He's been playing loads of this type of game lately, and it's amazing to have him back on the podcast. Meanwhile, Adam Cook has been playing Streets of Rage 4 and utterly loves it. We're shocked, too.

 

Because the pod was pretty impromptu and a bit of a slapdash affair, we didn't send out the call for questions, but we have one leftover from last week about food that's an absolute corker. Tell us your answers to the question, as well, we'd love to hear it in the comments!

393. Moving Out, Ring Fit Adventure, Breath of the Wild

Adam Carroll has been trying to keep fit with Ring Fit Adventure, while Chris White has played this brand new tiny indie game called Breath of the Wild and thinks it might just catch on. He’s also played Moving Out, which isn’t a game by the makers of Overcooked, much to Adam Cook’s surprise.

Gary Bailey has been playing racing games, and good thing too since we have listener correspondence about racing games and how they’ll fare in the next generation of consoles. All this and more on a packed podcast this week.

392. Ori and the Will of the Wisps, FF7 Remake, Resident Evil 3

Adam Carroll has finished Final Fantasy VII Remake and has lots and lots to say about it, while Gary Bailey returns to give his feelings on Resident Evil 3. It’s a love in, or is it? Adam Cook has gone back to Ori and the Will of the Wisps, and apparently it’s still not great, performance wise, anyway.

Resident Evil 4 is apparently getting remake too, as if FF7 remake wasn’t enough, so among other questions, the guys have their say on what that, and Easter Eggs, as well as price versus length. Ooh Err.

391. Minecraft Dungeons, FF7 Remake, Resident Evil 3

While Adam Cook has finished Final Fantasy 7 Remake, Adam Carroll has just started and, well, Chris hasn’t actually moved anywhere with it, instead playing FIFA 20 and Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Mr Carroll, however, has also played through Resident Evil 3, but does he agree or disagree with Chris White’s 9/10 review?

Before we get onto some news (we’re bringing it back this week to see how it goes down with you guys), Adam Cook has some thoughts on Minecraft Dungeons, as he’s been playing the beta. Then, yes, we discuss the PS4 DualSense controller, Inside Xbox, and LEGO Mario.

390. Final Fantasy VII Remake, Resident Evil 3, Bunny Day

Final Fantasy VII Remake embargo is up, and while Adam Cook hadn’t finished it when this recording took place, he has now, and much of what he says here remains the same. There, that’s covered that one!

 

If you’re not a fan of JRPGs though, we have thoughts on Resident Evil 3, anger towards Animal Crossing and rabbits, Paper Beast and Half-Life: Alyx VR musings, and a little chat about Monument Valley 2. 389. Resident Evil 3, Half-Life: Alyx, Bleeding Edge

While Adam Cook and Adam Carroll have been playing Doom Eternal, Nicola returns to discuss her first foray into the world of Animal Crossing in New Horizons. Meanwhile, it's April now so Chris White has played and reviewed Resident Evil 3 remake. Games aren't stopping, that's for sure.

But that's not even close to being "it"! We've also got a big chat about Bleeding Edge, the latest and goodest Xbox One console exclusive from Nicola, and Adam Cook has been playing loads of Half-Life: Alyx for review, as well! Since we talked about all the big games last week and Adam Carroll and Christopher White haven't played them yet, rather than rehash those chats we decided to take a look at the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5. It's time to discuss the future of gaming! What will happen with Game Pass, what will they cost?
