280. Takes a Kicking, Keeps on Ticking

This week Adam Cook, Chris White, and Adam Carroll are joined by Gary Bailey to talk about Dragon Ball FighterZ, Crossing Souls, and Shadow of the Colossus (the new PS4 remake), as well as Gary’s new PC, and “funny” games like Genital Jousting and South Park: The Fractured but Whole.

Nintendo announced a cardboard thing, in LABO, too, and Adam Cook is very excited about Two Point Hospital, the spiritual successor to Theme Hospital from SEGA. Fable 4 is maybe happening, too, so we’ll see what the gang thing of that.

279. Were there any good ones?

It’s time for episode 279 of the GodisaGeek Podcast, and by christ, it’s a bumper episode as Adam Cook, Chris, and Adam Carroll are joined by Nicola this week.

Reporting back from London, Chris has played Monster Hunter: World and Metal Gear Survive and has fresh, non-embargoed thoughts on them. He has also played Rainbow Six Siege, as has Nicola and Adam Cook. What else this week? Oh, Nicola has played NieR: Automata and… well, does she like it? Here’s hoping she doesn't upset the apple cart...

On top of that, fresh new Horizon Zero Dawn chat this week as Adam Carroll has started the DLC, while Nicola is playing PUBG, and Adam Cook is on a fighting game kick, thanks to Tekken 7 and Street Fighter 5. Oh and PES 2018 has grabbed him again, too. On top of that, loads of Nintendo news and listener questions to get through, hence the two hour run time.

That said, it’s nearer two and a half hours if you’re listening to the Premium version via Patreon. You’ll get Adam Cook's “hilarious” anecdote about clearing my office out, as well as Chris’ latest albums, and what Nicola and Adam Carroll have been watching. 278. Dead Him Off!

Episode 288 of the podcast has no Horizon Zero Dawn chat with in, but the game is mentioned in passing twice. There, you’ve been warned.

 

Joining Adam Cook, Chris, and Adam Carroll this week is Dan Murphy, who we’ve not had on for ages, but he’s got lots of thoughts on Assassin’s Creed Origins (as does everyone else), as well as What Remains of Edith Finch. The Cookster has been playing hardly anything this week, but he did start Tekken 7 finally, which he thinks seems rad. Chris has been on the PUBG, and has begun his journey into the greatest game never to receive a sequel, DmC: Devil May Cry. Meanwhile Adam Carroll successfully avoids spoiling Resident Evil 7 whilst talking about the recent DLC.

 

Plenty of news to discuss this week, too, and our reader suggested topic is all about Virtual Reality, maybe you’ve heard of it; and what it’s going to be like in 2018.

It's 2018 and this is the first podcast of the year from Adam Cook, Chris, and new guy Adam Carroll. Yes it's confusing he has the same name as Adam Cook, and yes it's awkward he can't even call him "Adam C" because that is also him, but hey, he's a fantastic chap and loves his games, so go say hi to him on Twitter and welcome him to the family.

This week's episode is all about the games coming in January and February 2018. Games like Monster Hunter: World, Shadow of the Colossus, and more. As well as that, we also chat about what we played during the holiday period of 2017. That means chatter about Life is Strange: Before the Storm, Gorogoa, Bury me my love, Figment, Horizon Zero Dawn, Puyo Puyo Tetris, Skyrim on Switch, and Final Fantasy XIV Online.
