372. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Death Stranding, Google Stadia
Wednesday Nov 20, 2019
Wednesday Nov 20, 2019
Star Wars is out! They did a new Star Wars! Not the films, though one is coming and a new TV show is out if you’re in the USA or have a friend who can hook you up, or something. But Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order hit PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and it’s really very good.
Not enough HUGE game chat? Adam Carroll finally returns and has played Death Stranding. Will he like it, love it, hate it, or feel weird about it?
Elsewhere, plenty of time to chat about how insane Red Dead Redemption 2 looks on PC, and we look forward (though it’s actually backwards when you hear this) to thinking about what Google Stadia will be, or won’t be.
Patreon.com/GodisaGeek for early access to every single podcast and a fortnightly exclusive additional podcast (coming Jan 2020).

371. Need For Speed Heat, Death Stranding
Wednesday Nov 13, 2019
Wednesday Nov 13, 2019
You didn't think we were done talking about Death Stranding, did you? Adam Cook has now played it and has many, many thoughts about it, the man behind it, and the decisions that helped make it what it is.
Elsewhere, both Adam Cook and Chris White have played Need for Speed Heat, and don't hate it, although it also has some strange decisions involved along the way.
Listener questions are quality this week, and while there are less jokes, we think this is a banger of epic opinion-based proportions.

370: Death Stranding, Luigi's Mansion 3, The Outer Worlds
Wednesday Nov 06, 2019
Wednesday Nov 06, 2019
Thank goodness no games of note are out soon and we can relax and OH GOD WE WENT AND REVIEWED DEATH STRANDING. For those who hate the idea of that chat, skip to around 40 minutes, but do that and you’ll miss some amazing analysis from Christopher White. It’s not a Death Stranding podcast, per say, but there’s plenty of chat about it.
Thankfully Luigi’s Mansion 3 is also out, so we can finally find out why Adam is saying Luigi is the best brother. We can also discuss The Outer Worlds with Nicola now, too, and work out who is the bad guy based on the bad decisions. Listener questions have the team showing their age with 80s adverts, theme songs, and god knows what else. Subscribe!

369: Modern Warfare, Control, The Outer Worlds
Wednesday Oct 30, 2019
Wednesday Oct 30, 2019
Nicola Ardron makes her triumphant return this week to discuss Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (not that one) with Adam Cook and Adam Carroll, and it’s a very different game this year! Meanwhile, Adam Carroll has finished Remedy’s Control, and has thoughts on it. Elsewhere, Adam Cook has been playing The Outer Worlds and MediEvil, and has very different opinions on the two games, and Aldi get a free ad-read thanks to the listener questions. Also, would Kratos be a good Prime Minister?
Send your questions to us, and maybe we’ll do a Control spoilercast once Nicola has played it, too? What’s our favourite Remedy moment? It’s that one in Control, probably. Ask us via Twitter, or email podcast@GodisaGeek.com to find out.

368: WWE 2K20, The Switcher, Mario & Sonic
Wednesday Oct 23, 2019
Wednesday Oct 23, 2019
This week Chris has been playing every game imaginable, including impressions on WWE 2K20, Luigi's Mansion 3, Sonic & Mario at the Olympic Games, Ring Fit Adventure, and one game he can't talk about. Adam Cook has been on The Witcher 3 on Switch, games he can't talk about, and Disco Elysium, oh and he now thinks Luigi is better than Mario. Adam Carroll, well, he's probably got some weird foods he's been tasting and wants to talk about Wrestling.
Is there a particular game you want us to talk about, by the way? You can email us at podcast@godisageek.com or Tweet us via @GodisaGeek. Just drop us a line, even if it's about food, or just how much you love us, your favourite gaming podcast. 367: Indivisible, PlayStation 5, Mega Drive Mini
Wednesday Oct 16, 2019
Wednesday Oct 16, 2019
As usual it’s a packed podcast thanks to yet more indies hitting the shelves (digital or otherwise). We’ve got more on Indivisible, plenty on 2019’s Grid, and a little known title based on a very popular movie series called John Wick Hex. Doom Eternal has been delayed, too, and the PlayStation 5 has been properly announced, so there’s almost certainly going to be some frowning faces this week. On top of that, Adam Carroll has been playing the Mega Drive mini.
Listener correspondence sees us talking about strange misunderstandings, game versions of people, horrible game names, and obscure or unknown titles. Hit us up every week with new daft questions (and serious ones, too) and we’ll answer them!

366: Concrete Genie, Yooka-Laylee, Breakpoint
Wednesday Oct 09, 2019
Wednesday Oct 09, 2019
It’s indie week on the podcast, sort of. We’ve got Concrete Genie which, despite being a PlayStation 4 exclusive, is by a very small team. Then there’s Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, which is an indie game by Playtonic Games, and also Indivisible, which you might not have heard of, but after this episode you surely will know about it. Then finally this week we’ve got indie game Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, which isn’t indie at all but we should talk about it because it’s a huge AAA title. We’re not angry, just disappointed.
We get a bit serious (again) on this week’s Listener Correspondence, because we’re talking to music that helps us through tough times. Of course there’s japes and jokes too, as we discuss what meals we’d be. Hit us up every week with new daft questions (and serious ones, too) and we’ll answer them! Seriously, maybe you want to know the weirdest thing Adam Carroll has ever eaten, or what Ubisoft game should be rested for a while? You can’t un-ask these things! You can ping us across all social media platforms – seriously, ask, we won’t bite!

365: Code Vein, The Surge 2, Mario Kart Tour, GRiD
Wednesday Oct 02, 2019
Wednesday Oct 02, 2019
It's a podcast full of Souls this week, and despite only having three people on the cast, it seems we managed to mention every Souls game every made. That's probably because The Surge 2 and Code Vein just came out... just saying.
There's also a fair bit of racing game chat this week, thanks to Gary's playing of GRiD (the new one), and Adam Carroll "enjoying" Mario Kart Tour. Meanwhile Adam Cook gets to talk about Untitled Goose Game, and weigh on the frame rate issues Mr Carroll has with Link's Awakening.
We get a bit serious on this week's Listener Correspondence, because we're talking to our past selves. But not before chatting about having a mid-life crisis and Knightmare making a very strange comeback.

364: FIFA 20, Blasphemous, Death Stranding
Wednesday Sep 25, 2019
Wednesday Sep 25, 2019
A bumper podcast this week for you, as Adam Carroll returns after playing all 20 hours of Blasphemous to talk about how great it is. Chris also returns with Sayonara Wild Hearts, Mutazione, Star Wars Pinball, Luigi’s Mansion 3, and Gears 5 to talk about! Of course, the Switch Lite is out now, too, so there’s hardware to chat about as well.
Not enough for you? Adam Cook has reviewed FIFA 20, played Borderlands 3, Deadly Premonition Origins, and Link’s Awakening. But he also has a problem with Death Stranding and needs to come clean to the pod-gang.
This week’s Listener Correspondence is about smelly game characters, celebrity crushes, sexy animals, and least favourite tweets.

363: Gary Lineker (eFootball PES 2020, Link's Awakening, Children of Morta)
Wednesday Sep 18, 2019
Wednesday Sep 18, 2019
While in the USA, people might say "Madden is out, the games are coming!", and that's still true in the UK, often it's the football games that signal the start of the onslaught of releases. Adam Cook has been playing eFootball PES 2020, and he's concerned about the game going forward. Elsewhere, he's been all over Switch games, with The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening and Daemon X Machina, while Gary has been up to some embargoed games he can't talk about... and Children of Morta.
This week's Listener Correspondence is about Christmas treats, horrible sentences, the PR spiel, and games we wish we like but don't. Hit us up every week with new daft questions (and serious ones, too) and we'll answer them! Seriously, maybe you want to know the weirdest thing Adam Carroll has ever eaten, or what the team's favourite Switch games are? You can't un-ask these things! You can ping us across all social media platforms - seriously, ask, we won't bite!
