372. Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Death Stranding, Google Stadia

Star Wars is out! They did a new Star Wars! Not the films, though one is coming and a new TV show is out if you’re in the USA or have a friend who can hook you up, or something. But Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order hit PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and it’s really very good.

Not enough HUGE game chat? Adam Carroll finally returns and has played Death Stranding. Will he like it, love it, hate it, or feel weird about it?

Elsewhere, plenty of time to chat about how insane Red Dead Redemption 2 looks on PC, and we look forward (though it’s actually backwards when you hear this) to thinking about what Google Stadia will be, or won’t be.

371. Need For Speed Heat, Death Stranding

You didn't think we were done talking about Death Stranding, did you? Adam Cook has now played it and has many, many thoughts about it, the man behind it, and the decisions that helped make it what it is.

Elsewhere, both Adam Cook and Chris White have played Need for Speed Heat, and don't hate it, although it also has some strange decisions involved along the way.

Listener questions are quality this week, and while there are less jokes, we think this is a banger of epic opinion-based proportions.

370: Death Stranding, Luigi's Mansion 3, The Outer Worlds

Thank goodness no games of note are out soon and we can relax and OH GOD WE WENT AND REVIEWED DEATH STRANDING. For those who hate the idea of that chat, skip to around 40 minutes, but do that and you’ll miss some amazing analysis from Christopher White. It’s not a Death Stranding podcast, per say, but there’s plenty of chat about it.

Thankfully Luigi’s Mansion 3 is also out, so we can finally find out why Adam is saying Luigi is the best brother. We can also discuss The Outer Worlds with Nicola now, too, and work out who is the bad guy based on the bad decisions. Nicola Ardron makes her triumphant return this week to discuss Call of Duty: Modern Warfare (not that one) with Adam Cook and Adam Carroll, and it’s a very different game this year! Meanwhile, Adam Carroll has finished Remedy’s Control, and has thoughts on it. Elsewhere, Adam Cook has been playing The Outer Worlds and MediEvil, and has very different opinions on the two games, and Aldi get a free ad-read thanks to the listener questions. Also, would Kratos be a good Prime Minister?

367: Indivisible, PlayStation 5, Mega Drive Mini

As usual it’s a packed podcast thanks to yet more indies hitting the shelves (digital or otherwise). We’ve got more on Indivisible, plenty on 2019’s Grid, and a little known title based on a very popular movie series called John Wick Hex. Doom Eternal has been delayed, too, and the PlayStation 5 has been properly announced, so there’s almost certainly going to be some frowning faces this week. On top of that, Adam Carroll has been playing the Mega Drive mini.

It’s indie week on the podcast, sort of. We’ve got Concrete Genie which, despite being a PlayStation 4 exclusive, is by a very small team. Then there’s Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, which is an indie game by Playtonic Games, and also Indivisible, which you might not have heard of, but after this episode you surely will know about it. Then finally this week we’ve got indie game Ghost Recon: Breakpoint, which isn’t indie at all but we should talk about it because it’s a huge AAA title. We’re not angry, just disappointed.

We get a bit serious (again) on this week’s Listener Correspondence, because we’re talking to music that helps us through tough times. It's a podcast full of Souls this week, and despite only having three people on the cast, it seems we managed to mention every Souls game every made. That's probably because The Surge 2 and Code Vein just came out... just saying.

There's also a fair bit of racing game chat this week, thanks to Gary's playing of GRiD (the new one), and Adam Carroll "enjoying" Mario Kart Tour. Meanwhile Adam Cook gets to talk about Untitled Goose Game, and weigh on the frame rate issues Mr Carroll has with Link's Awakening.
