While there are plenty of big games still coming out to chat about on the podcast, the team are back on Remnant 2, it seems. Chris Hyde and Adam have been playing the first DLC pack for it, The Awakened King adds loads more content, a new archetype, and new weapons and gear, and the duo apparently can’t get enough of it.
Meanwhile, Lyle has been beavering away at Persona 5 Tactica, to see if that is any good, but also dipping back into a game we covered in early access what feels like ages ago: now that Astral Ascent is hitting 1.0, has it delivered on what we hoped for back in September 2022, when Lyle said it “could be the next great Roguelike”?

Chris White is on the podcast for the second episode running, to talk about Marvel's Spider-Man 2. He and Adam have been playing it for the past few weeks, and have a lot to say about it from a story point of view, as well as how good it feels to be back in the Spider-shoes, game-wise, and even some thoughts on the technical aspects developer Insomniac Games has delivered on this time around.
And that's not even it for the big games, out the same day, and also having been played for the past few weeks, Adam has 100% completed Super Mario Bros Wonder, and can deliver his podcast verdict, to go with the written and video review on the site and channel. Still being played this week, though, is Lords of the Fallen, which Chris Hyde has fallen for, and seems quite smitten with.

We did promise we'd try to not miss recording a podcast this week, and we've succeeded, though there have been casualties along the way. A mix of sickness, holiday, and other means that it's just Adam and Lyle here for your aural or visual pleasure on this week's podcast, or given how great they both are, perhaps we should this week's "show".
Lyle has been playing Disgaea 7: Vows of the Virtueless, while Adam has too, meaning he's touched his first Disgaea game. Lyle has also been playing Max Payne-alike, El Paso, Elsewhere, and enjoyed it, with its throwback names and style. Adam has been in a Cocoon playing Cocoon, and likes that too. Oh and be warned: the topic of warm Weetabix comes up this week, just in case you're sensitive to such topics.
