As you can imagine, this week we have some very long discussions about Sea of Thieves, Far Cry 5, Ni No Kuni 2, and even Detective Pikachu. These are the games that will be dominating the airwaves in the lead up to a rather quiet April, but there's also time to discuss A Way Out, too.
So many games have been released (or are coming soon) that the news is a little quiet, so the gang of Adam Cook, Gary, and Nick Gillham (good to have Nick back!) also get to go in depth on a listener question about games that were critically received poorly but they loved. Thanks Wikipedia!
Subscribe via Patreon to get the premium episode which is delivered earlier and is longer, with a section is about dogs, streaming, and Thor! Woohoo! All that for $1 a month!

This week Adam Carroll tells all on his first Yakuza, which is the 6th, or 7th game in the series, while Adam Cook finally dishes the dirt on Kirby Star Allies. Elsewhere, Gary has been playing NieR: Automata and has suitably "Gary-like" opinions on it.
Plenty of news as there are banned games, release dates, and more, and if you're a Patreon supporter you get a bonus section that continues Adam Cook's journey into Ash Vs. Evil Dead, Gary's Marvel Movie Marathon, and Adam Carroll's Canadian Adventure - sort of: he's read some new comics.

In a week that would have been dominated by the Nintendo Direct if not for the likes of Black Ops 4 and The Division 2 being officially revealed, the gang of the Adams, Chris, and Gary have been playing Burnout Paradise Remastered, Vermintide 2, Bayonetta, and H1Z1’s Auto Royale. While Chris is only here for the first part of this podcast, he has been continuing his adventures in VR with Bravo Team and VR FC (a VR football game – yep!) and is here to report on that.
Elsewhere, a very tired Adam Cook tries to answer what should be a reasonably easy piece of listener correspondence, and a discussion about Inside’s “real doll” partnership for a limited edition is has. Would you have sex with it, that’s the question, isn’t it.
If you’re not a Patreon, you can join for $1 a month and get the extra long pod which includes chat about the Far Cry 5 prequel movie, Ash Vs. Evil Dead, and Gary’s movie replays.

Joining Adam Cook and Chris this week is Nicola, as Adam Carroll has no internet while he moves from temporary house to actual real final house. But that’s okay, as Into The Breach is discussed (as it’s amazing), and Chris has played loads of PSVR for the first proper time. Nicola breaks her Yakuza duck and plays Kiwami, and Metal Gear Survive gets discussed for (probably) the last time.
In the news we’ve plenty of Xbox One info, as well as PS4 release dates and sales figures. Garden Warfare 3 has Adam and Nicola excited, while listener correspondence has us questioning how relevant reviews are these days.
To hear Adam’s thoughts on Ash Vs. Evil Dead, as well as Chris’ thoughts on The Walking Dead – and more! – get the premium podcast every week early and extended for $1 a month.

Wednesday Feb 28, 2018
This week is the trio of the Adams and Chris have plenty to say about Metal Gear Survive, before waxing lyrical about Florence and Yakuza 6 (in a preview sense, of course). But what about Sea of Thieves: is that any good? Oh, also, despite the lengthy chat about Fe last week, turns out Chris isn't happy about the bugs and glitches he discovered.
In the news it's a very peculiar week with lots of weird goings on. It says something that Detective Pikachu is the least weird news story. Fancy hearing about Adam Carroll's Canadian adventure? Become a Patreon for $1 a month and get the inside scoop on whether Canada is any good or not thanks to the premium podcast version.

284. I Could Crush a Walnut
Wednesday Feb 21, 2018
Wednesday Feb 21, 2018
This week's podcast has a discussion about how to pronounce newly released Fe, and a massive chat about Monster Hunter: World a few weeks on. Adam Carroll has finished Shadow of the Colossus and thinks that everyone should play it, and after 3-4 years of waiting, The Fall Part Two is finally out.
Also, Fornite is a good game, and that needs saying - so we do, a lot. In the news, it's all about The Evil Within 2 getting a first-person mode, Sea of Thieves getting us back on board (ho ho ho), THQ Nordic buying a cock, and Spyro the Dragon. Listener correspondence sees us talking about E3, and the Patreon exclusive section sees Adam Carroll give unpopular opinions. Pay $1 a month for that!

It’s about the previews this week, as Adam Carroll has been playing Ni No Kuni 2 and Chris has been on Yakuza 6. Meanwhile, Mr Carroll’s first every playthrough of Shadow of the Colossus is going well, Gary is still on the PUBG, and Adam Cook has been on Pinstrike and Descenders. News returns as always, and the four have a chat about mystery in games, which even includes No Man’s Sky.
If you’re a patreon subscriber you also get a chat about what can only be described as “football penises”, films, and more films. $1 a month nets you that 20 minutes of additional podcast (which we dub the premium pod), and allows you to hear it a few days earlier.

Hey, we have a Patreon, and for $1 a month (less than £1) you can get early access to our podcasts and videos, but you also get an extended version of the podcast. Aside the intro and outro of this mini-sampler, this is part of a longer segment taken from episode 282 where Chris tells Adam Carroll that he's been listening to his band, Zoax. Patreon.com/GodisaGeek for $1 gets you this extra long podcast every week. Could you get an hour of extra entertainment for $1 elsewhere! Thanks for listening.

Wednesday Feb 07, 2018
Wednesday Feb 07, 2018
The games won’t stop coming, and Adam Cook has been playing Bayonetta 2 for Switch (in a preview sense) and Shadow of the Colossus on PS4, while Chris and Adam Carroll have been hunting in Monster Hunter: World and fighting in UFC 3. Gary has been playing everything else. We’re talking Age of Empires beta, PUBG, My Time At Portia, and Battalion 1944.
Plenty of news this week, with a heavy dose of Nintendo news, including discussions about what their online services will be when they go paid in September. Sony have been doing well selling PS4s but Kaz Hirai won’t be around any more, and Red Dead Redemption 2 and Yakuza 6 are delayed: is that ok?
Become a premium member for $1 a month and hear the gang’s thoughts on Phil Collins, CEX’s “rebranding”, and much more.

We’re a month into 2018 and our gaming pouches are exploding with delight. Monster Hunter: Worldmonopolises the conversation for a good forty minutes this week, but Celeste and UFC 3 are keeping us busy. The Inpatient is disappointing, but Super Mario Odyssey is delighting Dan and Nicola. Speaking of Dan, he’s played Far Cry 5 and gets quizzed on that, while Nicola is still getting deep into Kerbal Space Program.
In the news it’s all about Paragon’s closure and Xbox Game Pass, and as for this week’s listener correspondence, the bar has been set very high indeed.
