308. Your Friendly Neighbourhood Chris
Wednesday Aug 08, 2018
Wednesday Aug 08, 2018
Chris has left the borough of Derby that's he so famous in and become London's friendly neighbourhood Chris as he visited to play Marvel's Spider-Man and Resident Evil 2 Remake. He's also been playing a lot of PSVR recently, and can talk to you all about The Persistence, a really good VR game. Adam Cook is excited to finally be able to talk about the console release of Dead Cells, and there's lot of news happening in the build up to GamesCom.
If you support the team (and in this case, our Patreon Saints literally funded Chris' trip to London to play these games) for $1 a month, we can do more, and you will get early access, exclusive content, and an earlier, longer version of this very podcast. This week our Premium Audio includes Adam's "review" of Black Panther, as he's finally seen it. Huzzah!

Wednesday Aug 01, 2018
As you’d expect, much of this week is all about the re-playing of No Man’s Sky as Chris and Nicola have played it before, while Adam has only just purchased it. Nicola is also waxing lyrical about Vermintide 2 on consoles, and is playing a game about being a Candle for review.
Ni No Kuni 2 is finally getting some DLC, and Iconoclasts is coming to Switch, so is Salt & Sanctuary and about a hundred other games including Nintendo’s own third kit for LABO. We also get to find out which brand of ice cream Gary eats this week – OR DO WE?
For $1 a month you get the longer, earlier version of podcast, so get on that premium sub right now.

Chris has played and reviewed Adventure Time: Pirates of the Enchiridion, and Adam Cook wonders why people can’t make a great Adventure Time game. From one RPG to another, both the Adams have been playing Octopath Traveler and like it a whole lot, while Danger Zone 2 isn’t hitting the right spot for Adam Cook.
Plenty of news, as we’ve released dates for Stardew Valley’s multiplayer, Two Point Hospital, and the PES 2019 demo, while the internet is going gaga over a Spider-Man PS4 Pro, and No Man’s Sky NEXT is finally properly detailed. On top of all that, the listener questions this week are sublime, again!
All that plus the Premium Podcast which gets you a chat about Isle of Dogs and some SDCC trailer analysis, all for $1 a month.

Chris returns on hosting duties this week to talk to Gary and Nick Gillham about The Banner Saga 3. Nick has been playing Pode and Captain Toad Treasure Tracker (on Switch and 3DS), while Gary has been all about the racing games in 4K HDR.
The news has picked up again after last week, with plenty of Fortnite, Black Ops 4, Code Vein, and WWE 2K19news, and the listener correspondence is, again, off the charts and on fire. Thanks, folks.
If you’re a premium subscriber via the $1 tier on our Patreon, you’ll get an extended chat about GLOW and Castlevania on Netflix, as well as Gary’s review of The Incredibles 2: was it worth the wait?

It's come to this: the heat has gotten to Adam Cook, Adam Carroll, and Gary Bailey, so the they are all in various state of undress for the podcast. But it's hot on Mars, which is where Red Faction Guerrilla Re-Mars-tered takes place and Adam Cook and Gary have been playing that. Adam Carroll has been all over Onrush, but does he like it? Tune in to find out.
The Summer is truly here, so the news has dried up, but there's time to discuss season two of Netflix's Castlevania series, a new-gen Call of Duty, Shenmue 1 & 2 HD, and of course, Fortnite. Plenty of listener correspondence this week, so keep that coming as you guys have been on fire with the questions lately.
If you're a premium subscriber via our Patreon ($1 a month, all episodes early and extended) you'll hear about whether it's coming home or not, and if that's got old already.

303. It's getting hot in here
Wednesday Jul 04, 2018
Wednesday Jul 04, 2018
It's time to hear more about what Gary thinks of The Crew 2, while Adam Carroll has been playing the second pack of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild DLC. Adam Cook has been too busy to play games for fun, but there's loads of news, like the weird thing where Microsoft and Nintendo are teaming up to take down the all-powerful Sony. Video games got weird, huh.
The lovely listeners stepped up big time this week, so we get to hear what the lads would do if they spent a day in each other's shoes, as well as what game mechanic they just despise. Jump on the premium version of the podcast for $1 a month and you'll get the longer, earlier version which includes Gary's detailed 4K HDR Xbox One X PS4 Pro adventure.

With E3 firmly in the books for another year, there's nothing to talk about apart from OH MY GOD LOOK AT ALL THESE GAMES. There are titles that hit us before E3 that we can talk about now, such as Jurassic World Evolution, while Unravel Two hit during E3, and Chris reviewed it. LEGO The Incredibles is sort of out now (if you're in the USA, but not the UK, ouch!), while Wreckfest and Octopath Traveler are keeping the lads busy, too.
On top of all those, there's still so much news! The Fortnite/Sony cross-play thing won't go away, while Friday the 13th won't be getting any more content. AJ Styles is the cover star for the next WWE 2K game, but there's no Switch version coming, apparently. There's release dates, canonical updates, and plenty of listener questions, too.
If that's not enough, the premium version will net you some film chatter, with Gary having seen the new Jurassic World film, and Adam Carroll giving his thoughts on Hereditary. Catch that extended podcast (and get it early every week) for $1 a month.

On top of that, there's loads of news, since Bungie are getting investments from places that aren't Activision, Fallout 76, Pokemon Let's Go, backwards compatibility, Red Dead Redemption 2's pre-order bonuses, and more.
Then it's time for a huge E3 preview, with hopes and wishes, and there's even time for a mini-patreon-extended-section with some movie and music chatter - get that longer podcast for $1 a month. PHEW!
