Monday Dec 14, 2020
Monday Dec 14, 2020
What else were we going to talk about? The biggest game of the year, the most long-awaited game of the year, of last year, of all years? Cyberpunk 2077 is out now and we've played it, some of us have played it to credits, others are just starting, but no spoilers here.
Chris Hyde has also been playing Watch Dogs Legion and Immortals Fenyx Rising, and the gang of him, Adam Cook, and Mick Fraser have a little chat about those. Last regular pod of the year before #GIAGGOTY? We can't remember, we're too tired!

424. Immortals Fenyx Rising, Demon's Souls, Miles Morales
Monday Dec 07, 2020
Monday Dec 07, 2020
It’s that time of year now, when everyone is playing catch-up ahead of the all-powerful (and all-consuming) #GIAGGOTY. But before our celebrations and awards can kick off this year, we’ve been playing Immortals Fenyx Rising (nee-Gods and Monsters) and… it’s a massive shock how incredible that game is. Yes, it’s very Breath of the Wild, but what else has tried that since it came out? Shh, we know Genshin Impact exists.
Adam Carroll has been playing some PS5 games like Demon’s Souls and Miles Morales, but otherwise, we’ve been checking out many of the PS4 games that got updated to PS5 titles thanks to, well, not smart delivery, because nothing is smart about how that stuff works. Regardless, it’s a very next-gen pod this week, but what do you expect? GAMES ARE OUT!

Chris Hyde has his PS5 now, and has some early impressions on the console, but mostly the DualSense controller and Astro's Playroom. He's also played some Demon's Souls, which Adam Cook joined him for, with some co-op. Adam Carroll has been playing Sackboy: A Grand Adventure, while Adam Cook has been on Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
Elsewhere, questions try to justify playing with a child's Christmas present early, and then devolve into food chat, because of course we have to talk about food. Warning: Pringles are mentioned, and THAT incident is alluded to.

422. Demon's Souls, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Sackboy, Bugsnax
Monday Nov 16, 2020
Monday Nov 16, 2020
Next-gen is here (although still a week of waiting is on the cards for UK residents for the PS5), but we’ve got more launch PS5 titles to chat about in Demon’s Souls, Sackboy: A Grand Adventure, and Bugsax, while everyone has been playing Assassin’s Creed Valhalla.
A plethora of questions from our favourite questioner, Thomas, is on the cards as well!

421. PS5, Xbox Series X, Fuser
Monday Nov 09, 2020
Monday Nov 09, 2020
It’s been the busiest month in the site’s history and so this is a next-gen podcast as Adam has been beavering away reviewing both the Xbox Series X and the PlayStation 5, which brings with it games such as Yakuza: Like a Dragon, Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, and Astro’s Playroom.
Thankfully he’s not been alone, though, as Chris White has been playing more next-gen games like The Falconeer and Dirt 5, as well as Yakuza, and Fuser, which might not be a next-gen game, but is amazing all the same.
There’s plenty more to come before the Xbox Series X | S and PlayStation 5 are released, so we’ll have more next week on both consoles.

420.Astro's Playroom, PS5 Dualsense Controller, Cyberpunk 2077 delay
Monday Nov 02, 2020
Monday Nov 02, 2020
There’s so many games we can’t talk about on this week’s show, but thankfully Chris White is back to talk about Pacer and Amnesia: Rebirth, while Adam Cook has time to wax lyrical about The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope, a specific level of the PS5 Astro’s Playroom game, the PS5 Dualsense controller, and nothing more.
Adam Carroll is back, too, and he has feelings about Nintendo’s Switch Cloud Gaming service as well as the demo of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. Before the show ends, we talk about the delay to Cyberpunk 2077, as well. Will it come out in 2020? We’ll have to find out, I suppose.

419. Little Nightmares 2, Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Mario Kart Live
Monday Oct 26, 2020
Monday Oct 26, 2020
It’s a warm welcome back to Chris White, who hasn’t been on the pod in weeks, and he’s got Little Nightmares 2 and Assassin’s Creed Valhalla to talk about, so it’s great to see him again. Adam has been playing The Falconeer and Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit, and that’s about it for the pod this week, after four big games get talked about, but not before Adam also tries to work out what Mario’s real name is.
It’s a shorter show this week, so get your questions in for the next few weeks. Do you have any burning next-gen Qs? Ask away!

418. FIFA 21, Yakuza: Like a Dragon, The PS5 UI
Monday Oct 19, 2020
Monday Oct 19, 2020
This could be described as an emergency pod as Adam Cook and Chris Hyde get together, one on his mobile due to technical difficulties, but we wanted to get this pod to you so we could talk about FIFA 21 and Yakuza: Like A Dragon.
Elsewhere, Microsoft has revealed the 30 Optimised for Series X | S games for day one of the console’s launch, and Sony has broken cover to show off the new UI for the PS5. We catch up on listener questions this week, too, and reminisce a bit over a generation that’s coming to an end.

416. Crash Bandicoot 4, Star Wars: Squadrons, Super Mario Bros 35
Monday Oct 05, 2020
Monday Oct 05, 2020
Lots of games to talk about this week, as Mick has reviewed Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time and Star Wars: Squadrons. Meanwhile, Adam Cook and Chris Hyde have been playing the battle royale game, Super Mario Bros. 35, and Adam Carroll has been all over Mafia: Definitive Edition.
In the news, PS5 pre-orders are being cancelled, Xbox Series X’s are being previewed, and it’s all a mish-mash of woes and fast loads. Listener correspondence gets sexy and foody, but we also find out who thinks they are amazing at what game.
