484. eFootball 2022, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, Astral Ascent

After a slight lull in new games to talk about on the podcast, it seems we’ve been blessed with massive updates, new games, and some indie corkers.

Adam Cook has been playing eFootball 2022 after it’s first proper update, and while he started playing it because he felt an obligation to do so, could it… could it actually be good now?

Elsewhere, Astral Ascent has Lyle drooling while his PC is being fixed, and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is a weird experience, apparently, despite being the umpteenth LEGO game on the market.

483. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Chrono Cross, Nobody Saves the World

We’re feeling like time travellers on this week’s podcast. Adam Cook and Chris Hyde are still playing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, but could this be the last week they talk about it?

 

Lyle has been loving Chrono Cross, as well. But just in case there wasn’t enough co-op action going on, Adam and Chris also played Nobody Saves the World, again, this time on Nintendo Switch.

482. Coromon, Soundfall, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands

Chris Hyde and Adam Cook have been playing more co-op Elde...no wait, what's this? A new co-op game has taken them away from the FROMSOFT classic? Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is... actually really good? Well yes, our 9/10 scoring review told you that, pffft.  

Meanwhile, Chris has been right up in Kirby's business with the Forgotten Land on Switch, while Lyle has been playing the not-Pokemon, but also *very* Pokemon game, Coromon. He's also had some music fun with Soundfall.

481. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Ghostwire: Tokyo, Kirby and the Forgotten Land

Have you ever heard of a fiver? Not the site that has people selling their services, and not the English currency: in this case, it’s a fiver-podcast, with Adam Cook, Chris Hyde, Chris White, Lyle Carr, and of course, Mick Fraser. Can the internet, and one video, actually contain such energy? Will Adam accidentally play the theme tune mid-podcast for a third time this month?

Anyway, when it comes to games, it’s about as big as it comes, with Elden Ring still in our digital drives, while Ghostwire: Tokyo has been in Chris Hyde, Chris White, and Adam Cook’s minds for a few weeks now.

 

Adam has also played through Kirby and the Forgotten Land, but Mick has been all over Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Not to be outdone, Lyle has previewed Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, and as I write that, I’m aware none of us know how you actually pronounce that first word. Get it.

480. Ghostwire: Tokyo, Elden Ring, Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin

Chris Hyde and Adam Cook have been playing the first few chapters of Ghostwire: Tokyo, and so can bring you some early thoughts about that (in a preview sense). Meanwhile, they’re also both still playing through Elden Ring, with varying degrees of patience. Adam has had a break to play some Stranger of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin, though, while Lyle has been playing a game called Wife Quest. No, really.

479. Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West, Babylon’s Fall

What harm could missing a single week of podcasting really do anyone? Well, for starters it means that everyone has had far more time to play Elden Ring, but also that games we haven’t had a chance to talk about yet need to get their dues. Adam Cook has played the first world of Kirby and the Forgotten Land. 

Phew. That’s plenty, right? Well yes, but Chris has also played Babylon’s Fall, and Gran Turismo 7 also came out while we had a week off. I’m sure there’s plenty more to talk about because the games just don’t stop. Remember Horizon Forbidden West? Us too!

478. Elden Ring, Horizon Forbidden West

As if it wasn't enough for Horizon Forbidden West to come out and blow everyone's socks off, now Elden Ring is here and it's a ten as well. Mick Fraser has been spending every waking moment enjoying it, and probably dreaming about it a little bit as well, while Adam has been trying to keep up with his escapades. Chris Hyde is loving Horizon Forbidden West, but why wouldn't he? No listener correspondence this week, as we've plenty to talk about with these two big games, and it's been a crazy week at GIAG HQ, back to full strength next week, hopefully!

477.Horizon Forbidden West, Total War: Warhammer III, Monark

It's finally here, Horizon Forbidden West is pretty much out and both Adam Cook and Chris White have finished it, with Chris giving it a massive 10/10 score on GodisaGeek.com. Does Adam agree? What about Total War: Warhammer III, that's also out now, even in Game Pass, and Chris Hyde has been all up in that game's business over the past few weeks. Lyle has been let down by Musous, but what about Persona-style games, with Monark being released?

476. Elden Ring, Sifu, Lost Ark

Adam has been playing Elden Ring, and is allowed to talk about the first six hours of the game, which is exciting, right? Meanwhile, Mick, Adam, and Chris Hyde have all been playing Sifu, which means they’ll probably fall out over it, because hard games, amirite?  Elsewhere, Mick piled over 70 hours into a new MMO called Lost Ark over the last month or so. With that in mind, it’d be rude not to hear him out about it, right?

475. Dying Light 2, OlliOlli World, Pokemon Legends: Arceus

February is upon us, and so is Dying Light 2, OlliOlli World, and Pokemon Legends: Arceus, which in fairness, came out in January. But Chris Hyde is back from holiday to talk about holidaying in the Hisui region of Legends, while Lyle, Adam, and Chris White have been playing OlliOlli World. Of course, most of us have also been playing Dying Light 2, as well.
